In fifth grade, Cibeles’ teacher assigned the class a creative writing assignment.  It was Cibeles’ first taste of writing a story.  From then on, she discovered the beauty of poetry and literature.  She graduated in English Literature from the University of Miami and soon joined a couple of friends to begin a poetry and short-story newsletter.  At the same time, she began a career in marketing and went on to receive a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University.  Yet always in tune with her love of writing, she attended New York University’s Summer Publishing Institute and returned to her hometown to begin her writing career as writer for Coral Living, a South Florida lifestyle magazine.  In 2009, producer Marco Flores approached her with an original story idea.  With his collaboration, she developed her first screenplay, “Heroes of the Sun,” a feel-good superhero movie currently in pre-production in association with Diverse Talent Group and agent Zach Solov.
