At just 9 years old, Marco joined his brothers and sisters in the group Hermanos y Amigos (Brothers and Friends). He went on to study harmonies and orchestral arrangements, soon debuting at 20 years old as the youngest orchestra director at the OTI international music festival. The recognition led him to embark on a lasting musical career. Today an accomplished producer, artist and songwriter, Marco has produced hits for artists like Selena, Toni Braxton, Thalia, Gloria Estefan, Carlos Ponce and Ricky Martin, among others. Demand for his songs by Univision, Sony, Warner, Televisa, BMG, EMI and other labels has established him firmly as one of the most recognized songwriters in the industry. He has produced and written over 400 songs, four of which placed number one on Billboard’s charts in the same year (2000), and has achieved an impressive 14 platinum albums and 22 gold albums. In 2004, he added a new dimension to his success with his own self-titled album. He has since diversified into film and television and founded his own multi-media company. After forming Latin Beat, 2010 proved to be a breakout year for his company, where Marco and Latin Beat were involved in popular segments such as Reyes del Chacal from Sabado Gigante, and hit shows like Diva Latina from Univision. With the addition of Eugenio Siller to Latin Beat, the year ended with great success thanks to the new Telemundo hit ‘Aurora’, in which Eugenio stars as the main protagonist, and its music is sung by Eugenio, and produced by Marco. In 2011, more exciting things will be coming, as the soundtrack to Aurora will be produced and released, and Marco will also celebrate his 30th career anniversary with a compilation of his greatest hits and brand new productions in film and music.
